Re-usable coffee mugs for an international trade fair

The Brief

G Adventures asked Trident to supply 2000 branded Coffee Mugs for use at the ITB Travel fair and future travel events.

The aim was to give out coffee from a socially sustainable coffee project in Costa Rica that G Adventures are involved with, the coffee would be donation-based and the branded cups would be given out for a small deposit approx. 2€ and a little extra with the lid.

Our Solution

So, we needed an attractive lightweight recyclable mug which could be branded up with the client’s logo and message.

We researched the market and decided to offer a Recycled Double-walled 350ml insulated tumbler with twist-on lid. Made from 100% recycled Polypropylene material the mugs could be screen printed in white with the client’s logo and message wrapped around the circumference. Creating less waste by using an alternative to paper or plastic cups, these were well received by the client as fitting the brief perfectly.

The Result

Either the visitors took home their branded cup to use on a daily basis or handed it back in exchange for the deposit money. The branded cups would be seen around the event and as G Adventures had arranged for Barista to have them cleaned and re-used during the event they could be reused again and again. Therefore they did not need to buy as large an amount, as they would have done with a single-use paper or plastic cup.

The reusable cups could also be used for other events, another coffee booth, soup, ice cream, dumplings etc making them versatile and cost-effective.
